Serial Number...in live 5.01... Why register Times?

I have a P4 2.8 Ghz Win XP Prof. Laptop.Today, Live 5.01 crash completely my Laptop in the middle of just playing two Synths. Its not a CPU thing. This is something I had never with Version 4. Version 4 was working or not with some VST's. One thing really Stresss me. This is the third Time I have to take the full Prozess of Registration of Live 5 and Operator, because Live 5 ask me after this Crash and the Crash two weeks ago for the Serial of both things. This is a serious Bug! Think about when you are on Stage. I don't believe that somebody take always his Serial in his Pocket. Please work on it. thanks Dominik

You need to e.mail Ableton support.
Full system spec.
Service pack 1 or 2
CPU
Ram
Soundcard
Audio Drives
Midi interface
Synths/VSTi's involved etc .
This is not normal behaviour I might add.
Something on your PC is fucking with your system registry also.
As it should not be asking for your serial etc either.
What synths are you using.
And I'm not criticising you here.
Are they legit purchased synths as some (not all) cracks can do very odd things too your DAW to say the least.
This may or may not be the issue.
Still doesn't negate the fact that something is totally arse over here as Live 5 is quite stable on my PC.
Infact very stable actually.
Certain freeware synths behave quite strangely in Live5 also I've discovered and I'm prone to not using them anymore for that reason myself.
