They seem like a good deal, you can add the surrounds for pretty cheap too. I have had BX5's in the past and they were decent. This system looks like it might make a good bedroom mixing system. Anyone heard them?
I want to work on some 5.1 tunes so this might be the solution. Now Live needs to incorporate 5.1!
Anyone using the m-audio LX4 5.1 monitors?

I am neither a jockey nor do I spin anything....
I have them.
I must say I'm pleased with bang for the buck.
But I do think they are a little flat on the high midrange to high frequencies.
And, they come with a woofer, of which you have to set the volume independantly form the satelites. I really had a hard time getting my woofer level right. There is also no reference in the manual for setting this volume, no test method or anything.
My woofer broke down some months ago. It's not broken, but it sounds like something is loose in there somewhere, rattling when the BOOM comes. I opened it up, checked everything, no loose screws, no loose parts, just a undefinable rattle comming from the center ...
I'd save up for better monitors, if you can. If not, you won't find anything more bang for the buck in this price range, I think.
