Ableton Crashing on rendering to disk?

I have been using live for quite a while now...

All of a sudden I am now crashing every time I try to render a track to disk.

It give me "A serious program error has occurred and you should restart live...' type error.

When I try and click OK, I just continually get the error again.
I have to close Live thru the task manager....

Then after a few mins, I will get a 'blue screen of death' and my comp. will restart.

I tried re-installing live but that didn't help.

Anyone have any advice?

I'm not sure what you mean by this.

I'm at work right now so I can't check my comp. Do you want me to check what my computer's trash preferences are set at???

ok I know what your talking about now...

From what I've read this only works with live 5??

Anyways I tried deleting the files in the preferences folder and I still get the same error.

Anyone else have any other ideas?

Are you using external plugins when rendering?

fwiw, I have had a very similar crash reoccur when rendering normalized with Live 4.1.4

Are you rendering with normalize on? mabye try with it turned off.
