[help] several weird probs with 9.1.7 update

Post by hedflux » Wed Jan 28, 2015 9:20 am

I'm running Ableton on a new iMac with latest Yosemite. It's been fine until I updated to 9.1.7 a few days ago, and since then observed and verified the following problems:

- Waves AU plugins no longer compatible with Live (projects containing them can't load them)

- Xfer Serum Synth is running out of tune (5 semi-tones and 72 cents to be precise)

- iZotope Stutter Edit, Camel Phat, Camel Space and some of the Sinevibes plugins are now emitting sharp bursts of loud high frequency noise when used.

All of these plugins worked fine prior to a few days ago, and the Live update is the only significant change i've made. Serum and the Camel Audio/ and izotope plugs also work flawlessly in Bitwig, leading me to conclude that it is the live update that is causing this.

I assume if I roll back to 9.1.6 then my current project won't be able to load?

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

oh I also forgot to mention that EQ8 has a glitch too - the curve no longer reaches the full length of the spectrum window:

I can confirm that all those problems went away after rolling back to 9.1.6

Glad you've found a solution. But you should contact thé ableton support anyway, because what you've described sounds really weird.
