Contain Ableton Files

Post by CallHimSire » Fri Jan 30, 2015 1:17 am

How do you contain ableton files to your project folder and not have to scattered all over your hard drive. Every time I use a it makes a ableton copy of the file next to the original file, I don't mine this happening, but want to contain it to the project folder only.

Is this possible ???

It looks as if the OP is not asking about containing samples, but about containing .asd files.

Collect all and save will bundle all the samples inside the project folder, which will lead to project folders bloating.

And it will still leave the original .asd file outside the project folder.

As far as I know, .asd files are always kept in the same folder as the original audio file.

ah sorry i misunderstood.

asd files bothers my OCD too, so i added a shortcut command to terminal: when i write "hide" it executes "chflags hidden *.asd" :D
