Hi everybody,

we've just released MidiShaper 1.2 and added some more MIDI-options, to make the routing easier and more flexible.
Now it can receive MIDI not only directly from the host sequencer, but also via MIDI ports, which allows you to define MIDI channels for input and output and to limit its LFO-triggering to a single note.

And we've added a very cool snap-to-grid function to MidiShaper's waveform editor!!

Hello everybody,

unfortunately some bugs came with the new version of MidiShaper, like it was not possible to run two sources simultaneously. Thanks to the help of our users, we could find and fix these issues quite fast.

A demo of the new updated version is available on our homepage: http://www.cableguys.de/

Just wanted to let you know that we've just updated MidiShaper to version 1.4.

With the new version, MidiShaper's waveform editing sees many improvements and is now on par with our other plugins.

Note: The idea behind MidiShaper is simple: Very flexible LFOs and envelopes that output MIDI pitchbend, modwheel, aftertouch and MIDI CC / control messages.

Depending on your DAW and plugins or external hardware that you want to control, the MIDI routing can be quite simple to set up, or it can be very complex or close to impossible. If you succeed, you'll get super-flexible LFOs and envelopes added to your favorite hardware devices, to your DAW's controls and to your software synthesizers and effects.

To help you getting started we've got some tutorials for you on MidiShaper's website.

This looks very usefull!

So does that mean if I want a shaped LFO on let's say a filter cut-off in some device in Live, I just assign a Midi CC to it and then point Midishaper to that Midi CC?!

All without the huge limtation of M4Ls LFO that you can't then control that filter cut-off via anything else anymore?!

If so, I think I'm sold 8)

In theory, yes. It's takes some steps to set up, so I'd propose to check with MidiShaper's demo if it works for you and for your workflow. The demo version is limited to one instance per song and you cannot save your own settings in the demo, but besides that, the demo is fully functional.

For routing options, see this site: http://www.cableguys.de/midi-shaper-ableton-live.html
