Ableton 9 Setup with Focusrite saffire 14 and an Arturia Minibrute. I am trying to record audio into Ableton with the brute. My issue is pretty damn hard to describe, does anyone have some experience with recording audio from this machine into Ableton that I could chat with?
Basically I am getting a doubled signal. I plugged my Minibrute into channel 3 of my soundcard. when a key is struck it comes out of only my left speaker. When I make an audio track and set the input of that to channel 3 I then hear the original "only coming out of my left speaker" sound ON TOP of the audio track I made that has channel 3 routed to it which then makes this weird phasey thing happen.
Not sure where to look, I have toyed with all the input settings. Any help would be much appreciated.
HELP recording Minibrute into Ableton
Re: HELP recording Minibrute into Ableton
Install a midi clip, and then put the ableton external audio instrument in your audio clip. Then make sure you select your midi from Minibrute. Then whatever you play from your synth when track is armed and recorded will be to midi. Since its a monosynth you need to select 1/2 input selector and choose the correct channel. Then if you want add parameters you need To record midi into an audio clip live and turn knobs live then it will be in stereo. This is the way I do it, you need to have usb connected as well as both midi in and out on your brute
