It this function accessible in any way other than mouse control? I know it's not via the Live API, but if anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear 'em.

Only doable via the mouse at least, with Simpler (I don't use Sampler). Either clicking first, the hot-swap icon that appears when you hover the mouse over the waveform in Simpler... or, dragging from your browser.
Nice mouseless workflow, with Push 2... ever since I picked one up, I use the mouse even more than I did before.
