Massive's wt-position & intensity
Massive's wt-position & intensity
what's the wt-position and the intensity knobs doing technically...? if i wanted to replicate it's functions on some of abletons instruments like say, on sampler or simpler, what parameters would i have to adjust? i tried using a simple lo-pass on an eq to replicate the intensity knob but sounds less full, like missing frequencies (which it is obviously) but in massive it preserves its fullness. help?

Re: Massive's wt-position & intensity
Wt stands for wave-table. Basically there is a list of wave shapes and the wt position chooses which waveforms to play (with a given frequency). Since neither operator or analog is a wavetable synth, there is no equivalent.
Can you make similar sounds to massive with operator or analog? Yes, No, maybe.
Operator is capable of FM synthesis.
Analog is an analog emulator.

thanks, does that go for most of native instruments vst's?

Someone made a wavetable synth from simpler in Ableton here:
