Roland Octapad with ableton Sampler

Post by julienbracht » Thu Apr 16, 2015 7:54 pm

Hey guys!

I´m using the Roland Octapad as a midi trigger for the sampler with my own recorded drum sounds.

When I play fast single notes with velocity, it cuts the loud note of when there is a new hit, but it should continue, while the new note is starting to play. So it sounds very strange and unnatural. Is there a way to set up the sampler in a way, that he doesn´t stop the note when I play a new one?

Should be very easy, but I can´t find it since an hour.

Thank you!

Turn off 'R', retrigger.

Maybe it is set to Monophony instead of polyphony.

Have you looked in the Live manual and skimmed through the Instrument Device Reference in the smaller on Sampler?
