Im getting a high spike in CPU usage lately.
I have 2 Ghz and a quad core processor and last I checked Ableton required 2 Ghz? Am I mistaken?
If not, will a simple (and temporary fix) be to install more memory?
Or am I completely screwed with my laptop until I build my PC?

I found a massive difference when I went 64bit Ableton and 16GB ram but firstly how many tracks do you have running and do you have a lot of things going on, effects, plugins etc? Also what are the specs of the laptop you are running?

I have mainly only one midi track in use (drums) with mainly four effects on each of my drum hits which is a total of four and an audio track channel with about 5 effects in use. I'll get my specs shortly but my computer is 64 bit.
