Loop ABCDBBBBBBB

Post by akido » Mon Aug 29, 2005 3:23 pm

hello,

is there a way to have a clip play all the way through before it plays a loop that's in the middle?

ex: a clip which is made up of "ABCD" which plays ABCDBBBBBBB...

hope this makes sense,

thanks

no

you could use follow actions to play abcd then jump to the next clip which is a looped bbbbbb

thanks, that's a good idea, but i may end up using too many clips that way for the specific project i am working on.

i sure wonder why we can't do it in one clip though...

PS: love your sig/animation!! :-)

If you use live 5. The start position and loop start position are 2 separate things.

Put the play-marker at A
And the loop brackets around DDDDD.

Cheers

In that case you'll need follow actions. Either way. There's a solution to your problem ;)

or you could edit your audio and make it ABCDB, and then use Hoffman's technique...

do what amo suggest and then do what hoffman suggest....(just incase) read up on consolidating, that's probably what amo means.

Yeah through consolidate is a good idea. In fact I was thinking of doing it in an external wav editor. But you can do it all in live. Then you just have one clip and no follow action to set.... easier to reuse in different sets.
