In Windows 8 its completely rubbish. Everything has to be exported as an mp4. And then it crashes anyway. I've followed the standard advice about downloading codecs and its still rubbish. I've now got a 32 bit install of Live just for video export. Am I doing something wrong? ... apart from using Windows 8.1.
Is it as bad on a Mac?
end of rant.

I believe it works fine on a Mac, perhaps that's why they've never fixed this. "it works for me!" etc.
I have never managed to get video working AbletonLive 64bit on windows64 bit, I too have downloaded all the codecs and done all the things which people advise - to no avail.
It's very weird because every other video exporting program works just fine. But Live, nope ... it's yet another loosely sketched out and unfinished feature which they can't be bothered to go back and actually finish off.

It's usually works fine on mac although it can fail in spectacular fashion. I was really excited when i saw they were going to integrate video but it was never really developed and kinda sucks.
