Map only part of a controller range to a filter?

Hi all,

I'm using an NI Z1 with Ableton and I wanted to try and mimic the way that the Filter/FX knobs work on the HP and LP filters.

As far as I can see, I'd need a pair of AutoFilters (one HPF and one LPF) on each 'deck' with the 63-127 part of the range mapped to the full sweep on the HPF and the 63-0 mapped to the full sweep on the LPF.

The desired outcome is that turning the controller from 63-0 closes down the LPF leaving the HPF 'open' and that turning the controller from 63-127 sweeps up the HPF, leaving the LPF 'open'.

Try as I might, I can't figure out how to make this happen. I have Max so solving it that way is an option but I was under the impression that it was somehow doable without needing Max. Maybe I imagined that though...

Any help is very much appreciated.

Assign the on/off of the particular filter in EQ8 to the mentioned range as well as the cut-off. Map both to the same macro in a rack, invert the range for the cut-off of the LP.

Purchased Smart last night and set it up, works perfectly!

Nice to be able to set limits on the actual effected value range as well as where it starts and stops in the controller travel. Means I can make sure that my HPF doesn't sweep my set into a frequency that only bats can groove to
