OT: Bhajis Loops and Microbe for Palm OS == fun stuff

Post by helixx » Mon Aug 29, 2005 8:19 pm

I use a Palm Treo650 (got one through work) and was wondering if there would be a way to easily capture some of those cool ideas that strike you when there's no laptop and ableton live handy...

so i did a search and yielded the following products:

Microbe
http://www.chocopoolp.com/mi_features.php
Bhajis Loops
http://www.chocopoolp.com/bj_features.php

which you can find more info at:
http://www.chocopoolp.com/index.php

at first i thought their use might be very limiting but my god. i can't stop playing with this stuff. i manage a palm development team and can't believe all of the stuff this guy's doing. i know how hard it is!!!

here's a link to a dude who's building some great tunes using the full featured editor i think. impressive stuff, given the constraints of the tool.

i don't mean to come across sounding like an advertisement but i thought that like-minded folks might be interested. i've been creating little blurbs of tunes, exporting them to wave and importing them right into live for more embellishment and re-work. its pretty sweet so far. if i find any pitfalls or shortcomings i'll post them here if folks are interested.

I'd live to have a Palm just for that software, but I wouldn't like to pay for one.
