Problems with automation between Ableton and Sylenth

Having a problem where anything I automate (Using the Configure on the plugin to add parameters) is popping up the Re-Enable Automation button and bypassing my automation as soon as playback in Ableton hits the tracks clip. Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

Could try mapping the parameter to a macro, then automating the macro. That might trick ableton and sylenth into working.

If you have a mac, you could try au or vst, whichwver one you are not using

Sylenth automation can be weird in Live, sometimes when you automate the pitch, for instance a pitch bend, it won't return to the original pitch, even if your automation is correct, it will stay in the bent down or up position.

Is the parameter modulated by an envelope or an lfo within sylenth? this might cause abketon to think the hser adjjsted the parameter and will unhinge the parameter from automation control. A possible solution might bd instead automate a modulator that modulates something else. Obviously not ideal, this is a bug, but those are some pitential workarounds.

Curious, 32 or 64 ableton?

Arrangement Overdub (the little +) doesn't change anything, it's still popping the Re-Enable, and the problem isn't that the automations aren't going back from where-ever I'm sending them, it's that Ableton keeps refusing to use them unless I click the newly popped Re-Enable button at the start of playback.

The automation is mapped to a Mod Envelope wheel (Cutoff AB in most cases), and it's 32 bit Sylenth, in 32 bit Ableton.

Problem solved. I went ahead and rolled with the idea of mapping Sylenths parameters to some Instrument Rack macros and automate the Macros. It's not the most efficient setup for workflow, but it's a solid fix and it's useful for future MIDI control setup!

I've spent the last 2 days trying to find an answer to this issue and I have found a solution of what seems to be the root of the problem.

The symptoms have always leaned towards the clip for some reason overriding the automation set in the arrangement.

What I found, was that the clips that were causing this had a Pgm Change specified. In my case it was PGM 3. Once I delete this and put it back to NIL it stopped overriding my arrangements automations.
