Ableton suddenly useless - infinite buffering of samples

Hi all.

One day ableton worked great, the next it became useless and froze every time on startup with a none moving progress bar saying it was buffering many samples. I have in installed and reinstalled, with no luck. Ableton is now useless and I have to reinstall windows as my last hope.

- no major updates on my pc
- same issue no matter what set I open, blank one included
- reinstallion does nothing
- sometimes it eventually loads after 15 minutes, but is then entirely useless with a 30 second lag on each button press

Is there anything anyone would recommend trying before I Resort to reinstalling windows?What makes matters worse is that not all of my sets had I 'collect all and saved'. Meaning that I may lose everything when I reinstall windows.

Before you go doing something drastic like reinstalling Windows, I would definitely get in touch with Ableton support, they may be able to offer a much easier solution to the issue
