Driver Issue with Yosemite and M-Audio
Driver Issue with Yosemite and M-Audio
Just a shot in the dark here, but is anyone having issues with the drivers for M-Audio Fast Track Pro and the new Yosemite operating system. I can't use my interface with Yosemite and I even got the driver sent directly to me from Avid. I didn't have any problems before Yosemite.

That didn't work. Ableton doesn't like this new driver. I never had any problems until recently. I'm assuming it's a Yosemite thing. It's more than just not getting any audio. When I select the Fast Track Pro in my Ableton preferences, I can't even get the track to play. I get the pinwheel that just goes on forever and I eventually have to reboot the computer.robertaplant68 wrote:Set the Fast Track in Yosemite's System preference to "16 bit sample depth".
But, let your DAW's settings override it by choosing 24 bit or whatever bit settings you want to use.
Re: Driver Issue with Yosemite and M-Audio
on a related topic, I updated to Yosemite to find that Echo Audio no longer make drivers for this OSX, thus rendering my soundcard unable to work. Thankfully i'd done a time machine backup just before I updated and had to go back to the previous OSX. Will eventually have to get a new soundcard
Protip - before you upgrade to Yosemite, do a time machine backup! Pretty much all of my friends have had some sort of hassle with compatibility!

Last night it suddenly started working. This morning it was stuttering really badly. I'm done with this P.O.S.
