GarageBand will be getting a very Alchemy-like morph pad for its synths later this month.
So I guess the Camel Audio peeps really are doing something at Apple.

Yeah, kind of odd they would toss that in the baby brother, but maybe it was easier to implement and it will piss off less forced beta testers while they suss it out.

Not really that odd I think, they already had Alchemy for iOS. Reskin it, leave in the best 100 presets, done. Very simple way to add new sounds to an existing app, and it has those awesome 8 pads to morph too.

I think he meant it's odd that they put it in GarageBand but not Logic.
But surely it will end up in Logic at some point. That would be ridiculous if not.

Yes, that. Also surprised how quickly Camel Audio might be involved. It seems like Apple sometimes buys companies that they just sit on or take years to have something tangible they got from that company.

Is there anything more boring than Apple Watch news?
No, there is not. I apologize for even bumping this thread with this tripe.

I agree. I still don't get the need or want.

I don’t know anybody who wants or owns one, and I feel it’s safe to assume that I don’t have much in common with the people who do or are excited about it. Way different lifestyle and priorities.

When they can do a thin sheet to put under a layer of skin so you can see it and still multitouch right on your arm, then I'm in. Bio-hacking ftw.

If they can Bluetooth sync that to the Apple Watch with erection tracking capabilities I think that could be a useful analytical tool for individuals, couples, and law enforcement, especially when using in correlation with the calendar and to-do list apps.

It would be way more functional to install augmented reality into your retinas and draw into the palm of your hand. Or a wall. Or whatever.
My biggest problem with the watch is that it is based on a bracelet. It is more useful as a piece of jewelry than something which is tapped into. So, a wrist can store a computer and data fine, but as an interface it is absurd. The idea of holding up your wrist with your fist twisted and tapping with your other hand is not intuitive. This is why the phone is far superior. It is like holding a deck of cards.

That is most sensible, but it just wouldn't look as cool as seeing a glowing animated UI on your arm.
