Alesis VI25 + Live 9.2 problems

Post by smslater245 » Wed Jul 01, 2015 11:12 pm

So yesterday I installed Live 9.2 onto my computer, overall everything seems to work just fine but I noticed my VI25 keyboard isn't pre-mapped to anything. I read in the release notes that the VI series was going to get full controller support in 9.2 but so far it still works the same as it did in the previous version. Anyone have any solutions to this? Any help would be much appreciated.

I have the same keyboard, I'm just curious , did your get your VI pre-mapped with live 9.1 ?
I always had to midi-map everything myself even on the previous version, except the transport fonctions.

Tried it with 9.1 and 9.2 and I have to map everything except for transport controls.

In Help is the Control Surface Reference section which lists supported controllers and what they do when using the Control Surface option.

It has to be properly set up in midi Prefs to be a control surface. Also, usually you need your controller set to the correct layout (sometimes it's a guessing game, sometimes the manual of the controller gives you a hint).
