Faderfox Review...

Post by paulherron » Wed Aug 31, 2005 2:47 pm

Hi guys! I've been noticing the lack of Faderfox Micromodul reviews available, so I decided to take some notes and photos of my own and stick them online. I'd appreciate your thoughts on anything I've said. And do let me know if you think I'm talking rubbish for any of it!

The address is http://www.paulherron.net/articles/lv1lx1/

Hopefully the information will be of some use to anyone considering the Faderfoxes.

Also, is anyone using Mac browsers able to verify that the tabbed photos display correctly?!

Best Regards, Paul.

That's really nice, Paul! Works fine on a Mac.

I think I'd go for a few if they were more configurable and USB/Firewire powered, like most modern controllers.

I'm sure there's more configurable stuff just around the corner...

Not worried about the batteries. It's having to send MIDI cabling everywhere just when I'm just getting rid of it.

I suppose it's no big deal, really...

"Official Faderfox Website" links to www.faderox.com instead of www.faderfox.de. Thus a broken link. I believe that was the point above.

Best Regards, Paul.

Just noticed a little tweak you need to make to the article.
You wrote:

"Four rotary dials are switchable three ways to give control over a total of 12 functions."

One of the three way options is track dependent, giving you a total of 4 controllable functions per track and 4 for each of the other 2 options.
Which is a total of 72 parameters that can be assigned simultaneously to the 4 rotary dials.

The same thing for the joystick, that can control 18 functions

Cheers,

Paul.

Not true --- I've had to change batteries in the LV1 after about 2 months.
