i am very surprised that this old post is still active. Thanks for all your support.

@Homebelly: In case you still want to install Automat ... here is the direct download link.
But beware. This plug is au / carbon / 32bit / intel only and has a very crude installation script.

I got a lot of requests lately to port this thing to cocoa / 64bit (with nice installer) and i actually started to work on this.
But it still needs some coding to be done. I'll let you know if the first beta is actually working.

Oh wow, I remember Automat! I played with it years in a less stable version, eventually gave up on it when I standardized on a Windows system, but it always made nice sounds.

I'm back on OSX now and think I will give it another go. Great synth.

Who knows what it would take to keep automat afloat. I know I miss it, that's for sure.
