OT: Portable Music Player

What is the best portable music player out there, besides the iPod.

I heard that the iPod doesn't like dance music sets with trackmarks but no pauses... It plays a pause in between the tracks. Is this true?

If so... what other players are out there that are good? I'm looking for something with a large drive capacity, not necessarily a small unit.

yeah .. I have an ipod mini and it's useless for dj mixes. It definitely pauses a second between tracks ... in Itunes you can join the tracks but then you just have one huge file and cant skip tracks
