SOLVED / Need help updating Max For Live.

From before I have Max For Live version 6.1 working just fine, but thought I should update to the latest version.

I have downloaded the latest version of M4L from Ableton.
Installed it in my Application folder, where I have a new file named just Max
It In Preferences -> Max Application, I click the "Browse" button and select Max in my app folder.

The result, when opening Ableton, is the spinning ball. What am I missing?

I'm using the latest version of Ableton Live Suite on a Macbook Pro w/ OS X 10.10.4
64 bit version of both Ableton and Max.

I trashed the old templet file and now Ableton is loading M4L 7 with no problem.
