Can I Tune the Launchkey Mini Drum Pads

Post by bobland » Wed Sep 09, 2015 6:09 pm

When playing drum racks, the drum pads appear to be fixed in pitch, that is, pad one is C3. On racks where there are multiple octaves, I can't get the pads to move to those "notes." Is this the way it is or is there a way to "tune" the pads so, for example, pad 1 becomes c4, or c2? Currently, I'm using the keyboard to access those notes.

Thanks

Have a look on the Novation website for the user guide...

Couldn't find any info on changing the pad tuning other than a reference page showing the Msg#. I don't know what to do with that info if that is, in fact, the method to change to pads.

No. Use should be able to make changes in Live's Drum Racks.

Or use one of the MIDI Effects prior to the drum rack....

I think the problem is the pads are fixed notes. That means I can only assign 16 notes at a time. If I move the rack selector up and down, it will not do anything, i.e., it will not automatically reassign the pads. To access more than 16 sounds, I would have to reassign the note values.

Do other controllers automatically transpose on the fly? If so, are any of them in the $100 range?
