So I started looking at slice to midi and noticed that I can only seem to edit the parameters that are given macros in the process. I supposed this is because they are "slices" of one audio sample and you can't change these parameters in one slice without changing the whole sample.
Is there a process that would chop up a drum loop to midi drum rack without using slices and would just be individual samples that would give you full control over the simpler parameters?
Thanks.

I am legit offended that I asked this question 2 days ago and have been ignored. Please put your manager on the phone.

The manager has been on the phone those past two days, effectively blocking the line for everyone else.twistfinger wrote:Please put your manager on the phone.
Not true. You can not edit parameters that are marked with a green square - these are exclusively controlled by macros. The rest are free to edit - for each drumrack pad/chain individually.twistfinger wrote:noticed that I can only seem to edit the parameters that are given macros in the process.
Not true either. The sample isn't changed at all. Each Simpler plays the portion of the original sample from the start marker to the end marker in this Simper's sample view, then applies the Simpler parameters, that are either controlled through the macros or set individually.I supposed this is because they are "slices" of one audio sample and you can't change these parameters in one slice without changing the whole sample.
Still using slices, but if you feel like the built in macro mapping constrains your creativity, create a Slicing preset of your own, see Default Presets where it says "To adjust how Live behaves when slicing an audio file:..."Is there a process that would chop up a drum loop to midi drum rack without using slices and would just be individual samples that would give you full control over the simpler parameters?

Oh my word... I see you just have to click the filter and lfo buttons. They were all grayed out so I just assumed

Haha, almost fell for that myself when checking my claims before posting them this morning.twistfinger wrote:Oh my word... I see you just have to click the filter and lfo buttons. They were all grayed out so I just assumed
