Problem with static sound with soft synths.

Using Diva with my new build Xeon 6 core, I'm getting static when playing patches through my Scarlett 6i6 and cpu spikes around 100%. When I turn off multi processors in preferences it stops. When I turn windows 10 power plan to "high performance" from my usual "balanced (recommended)", it also stops and the cup usage is low.

I like having balanced power plan to reduce idle noise and heat, but it appears from looking at my motherboard utility software that the processor isn't ramping up to full power when it is on and when I play a patch on diva.

Is this normal and is there any way around this problem? I would prefer not to have to change my windows settings all the time.
