I just hate the way the US has this view like they "Save the World".all the time.
The only reason the US goes abroad to start or end wars are politcal and economic needs. Many parts of Africa have some of the most dangerous inner conflics, disease, famine so on..The US presence there is low. Let's go to that tsunami of last year..over 180,000+ dead..US presence and aid is below that of European nations and abroad. The US has done alot in ending conflicts..like WW2, France from Germany , etc..However, they are not like they go over there for just the need of saving countries..Whoever believes the story (when Bush the line) "Defending the War of Terror"..is about liberating Iraq..better re-evealute where most terrorists are really harboring and living..The Bush admin knows teh majority of Amercans are well under educated and not geographcally smart (including the Mr. President himself). Manycan easily eat up that line, as many people do not know the difference geographically between Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia and maybe Paris, France. Many do not know countries exist apart the USA. Scary but true, but more power the gov't has over its' tax payers.

In my local (former) tobacco store works, among other very nice people, a guy that is an imam in this city.
Talked to him the other day about the conflict between non muslims and muslims, because he had been in the local newspaper as one of three local important muslims wanting to state that they are not standing behind any terror actions and that they think killing of innocent people is wrong in any case.
I could go to him with questions regarding islam, if there is a real interest.
Interest to know and learn that is, not just to simply judge.

So, what do you want to know?

He even had the audacity to go party in California, while one of the biggest, if not the biggest natural disasters in American history was going on. I'm ashamed to be a US citizen.
