Push 2 won't write automation with certain Plugins.

Hi,

Writing automation with some plugins just doesn't work. Reaktor and Soundtoys doesn't respond to recording automation via Push 2 for some reason.

Anyone else had this issue?

yes.. I have Reaktor and I hoping I could run it as Standalone while using Push 2's knobs, but (pooh!) it doesn't work. Without Live as an interface, the knobs can only control on/off! They are not continuous controls.

i thought that none of the PXT stuff is compatible with Push 2?

You're right, but I'm pretty sure it will become compatible within some reasonable time frame. Certainly worth to keep an eye on.

But I should be open on that the only current stance I've seen on Push 2 support is this:

"not currently. That may change in the future or an entirely different series will be offered for Push 2. That has yet to be determined."

It's just that I can't see it not get done. However, if Ableton have closed the possibilities for this aspect of Push I think that's quite sad.

Well in my desire for universally tweakable knobs, I stumbled upon Aturia's 25 key mini lab controller. Nice compliment to Push 2 and its under $100! ( And it comes with 5000 presets that sound really good! ). So I guess the push 2 knob controlling issue is not as big of a deal to me now!
