Clip doesn't sound the same when I drag it into session

Post by Bungle » Mon Nov 30, 2015 9:28 pm

I have this drum loop (an .alc file) which sounds great when I preview it in the browser, but when I drag it into my session it sounds completely different. What could be the reason for this?

Wow, that was quick, thanks! So I sort of found a solution. I load the clip into an empty project and bounce it down to WAV, then import the WAV into my original project and the warping takes care of the tempo change. This seems like a lot of effort though, and I lose the flexibility of being able to modify the MIDI.

Is there any way to import a clip and have all the samples automatically warped to the tempo of the current song?

Is it in a drum rack?

Perhaps it is an older preset which uses the old version of Simpler.

You'll have to dig into the loop's instruments to find their source. Some are based on layered percussive bits others are a sliced sample of a loop.

If you already made a wav, I'd just toss it into the new Simpler. It is the best of both worlds (can slice and warp/stretch)
