Brand new Ableton Push 2 that's 17 days old normal usage hasn't been in backpack and haven't used anything to clean it and the black control pads are extremely faded and worn around the edges just like Push 1, it looks terrible after 17 days of normal usage
C'mon seriously Ableton

Congrats on 'wearing in' your Push 2

Seriously though, is humidity high were you're at?

nope it's been on my desk since I got it....it had some signs of the coating coming off straight out the box and that picture is the result of normal usage after 17 days...disappointed to say the least "wearing in" makes a beautiful piece of hardware look terrible thought the coating on the buttons would be different this time around but guess not

Might be worth contacting Ableton support if you saw issues right out of the box.

I've been rocking my Push2 many hours a day for months now and it looks like brand new, this definitely isn't normal if you're not running sharp things across it or something.

Yup I already shot them an email earlier there support is great I'm sure they'll take care of it I've seen similar issues out there with people asking about the coating quality I'm hoping this is just a issue with the one I have.

Looks like a lint/oil buildup to me? Have you tried a damp cloth across it?
