Ubermap is BACK.
Tom, a big thanks for your help.
Indeed the b1 and b2 zip are different. Don't worry, this is the typical work for a beta tester to find out this kind of problem/thing/mistake/bug.
Your contribution with ubermap is really priceless for my workflow, you have no idea. Your work is present on the music i do, on scenes, lives etc...
Hehe, glad you got it working again and I'm glad you find Ubermap so useful!
I did indeed screw up the 0.3b2 release completely, so I've deleted it and created a new 0.3b3 which *should* be better, could you take a look?

What they should do though, is simply allow us to do what Ubermap does.
Indeed that what i was trying to say.
Btw the new .appc files they created sounds like a start for it.

I reinstalled ubermap from scratch with your b3 version, and its working as well. So this last zip is a good one. For beginners, you maybe shoud move the install readme file in the root of zip instead of in devices folder.
for the rest, it worked for me

I was playing with idea of making Ubermap read the .appc file format instead of the current .ini-style format, so then if/when Ableton do add such a feature, hopefully the configs will work with minimal changes. Not sure if it's a good idea or not yet though

The idea was (is?) that there can be multiple components to Ubermap, e.g. there used to be a "BrowserPreview" component that enabled sample preview (removed from the 0.3 as Ableton added this themselves), and each component can be installed separately so has its own README. However I will add a link to the main one to make it more obvious

Maybe you could use appc files for ubermap, but just use it in your own folder without touching the ones created via ableton. Sounds like a good idea, but what is theses appc files chnge in their structure... Is it final or still WIP...

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. Of course the structure may change, we don't know what Ableton have in store yet

Hi Tom,
Tried to install b3 on to Push 2. Win 7, 9.5.1b4.
The screen on the push is completely blank. I'm happy to go through stuff on skype with you if it's of any use so you can see what happens?

Hey Tom,
Running Push 2 w/ Ableton 9.5.1b4 on OS X Yosemite. Just tried installing Ubermap, and large parts of the Push (the screen and encoders) are unresponsive in Ableton. Sometimes the grid lights up when I select a midi track on my computer, but that's about it. It works fine in the non-beta Ableton, and was ok before I installed Ubermap.
Know you said you don't have a Push 2 on hand, so let me know if I can help troubleshoot or debug in any way.

Ah, sounds like Push 2 isn't working then! Could you take a look at your Log.txt file (as described at
https://www.ableton.com/en/help/article ... ash-packs/) and see if it says anything about "RemoteScriptError"? Feel free to just attach the file here or send it to me as a private message if that's easier. If that's no hep we can enable debug logging for Ubermap to see where it is failing.
There is a Push 2 emulator buried inside Live which I am trying to figure out how to start, which would be useful. Or maybe I should just buy one...

Just got the email about the 9.5b5 release, I guess that'll be a good test of how resilient the new code is to changes in Live

Not sure I will be able to try it out tonight so please let me know if you try it!

Beta 9.5b5 breaks Ubermap so stick with 9.5b4 for now, I am working on fixing it!

Hey Tom.
Doesn't seem to be working on 9.5.1b6 (Push 2). If I make a plugin config, the bank name change shows up but I can't select it. Upon restarting the push the screen is blank. I'm sure you probably already know that this is the case but I'm just confirming. If I can help in any way, let me know.
