I reported to both, You can see Izotope's response in my very 1st post.

here is Abletons response:

Thank you for your email and sorry to hear about the routing issues you encountered with Live and the Stutter Edit plug-in.

This issue will require some further investigation and so it would be of great help for us to see a Status Report of Live:

https://www.ableton.com/articles/create-status-report/

Moreover, please reset Live (after you have created the report) and test if the erratic routing behavior would still occur. Find lout how to reset Live here:

https://www.ableton.com/articles/reset-live/

I look forward to hearing from you! If you have any further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to include them in your reply as well.

With kind regards,

Johannes

unfortunately I have not had the time to follow up on this with them.

I went ahead and reported to both as well. FWIW, I just tested this against Illformed Glitch2 and NI's The Finger and didn't have any problems routing MIDI. I have a suspicion that the issue is really with iZotope and not Ableton. Hopefully both companies can work it out.

The work around is to set your midi track back to default- stop using a custom default midi track.

Simply open a brand new (unaltered) blank set and right click on the midi track that abelton provides and set it as default. You'll need to right click on the box where the name of the track (Midi) appears.

if its not the midi track then it must be something else. Have you tried to restarting Ableton?

can you tell us how you have the plugin routed then?

It can be a pain to set up at first..

No worries, I know how frustrating it can be. Unfortunately the setup for this plugin is a bit convoluted and there are quite a few places where mistakes can be made.

Not trying to be redundant but check these sources out thoroughly and make sure you have everything routed correctly. If after that you are still not seeing results the only thing I would say at that point is to contact Izotope support.

I suspect this is a bug - I just tried routing MIDI through to Stutter Edit with no success. The channel I'd like to route to just doesn't show on the 'MIDI To' drop-down menu. However, with exactly the same setup, when I replace Stutter Edit with Illformed Glitch2 there it is in the drop-down . . . Not sure whether this is an iZotope or Ableton issue, but it's clearly an issue unless there's some secret setting I'm missing in Stutter Edit?

Hang on a minute . . . I just noticed there are TWO Stutter Edits listed in my iZotope plug-in folder . . . 'iZotope Stutter Edit' and just 'Stutter Edit' - the latter works fine. I have no idea what the other one is and why it's listed, but this may be the solution to anyone else having the same issue?
