Warp an audio clip with the tempo markings of another?

Post by BMMusic » Tue Dec 22, 2015 10:12 am

Is there a way to warp an audio track with the tempo markings of another?

The scenario is that I recorded an artist's song draft with them just playing guitar and singing.

I have imported the 2 tracks to experiment with and the rhythm guitar is warped very well, whilst the singing isn't at all.

I was wondering whether there are any methods to warping an audio track, but using the tempo markings of another as a reference.

One way I was thinking was if I combined the two mono signals into a completely left/right separated stereo clip, then somehow split them up again once they had been warped.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

You should be able to do this by extracting the Groove of the warped clip and then applying that Groove to the other clips.
