CPU Usage

HEy guys.

Just bought a Push 2. New to Ableton coming from REAPER.

Using one instance of Diva(96k 256 buffer) with Ableton produces almost 35% CPU power 8O !!! On REAPER its around 2 or 3%. I have a 5960x so thats certainly not the issue. That is a pretty drastic difference. Deal breaker potentially.

Why is this? Is this a known issue with AB9?

CPU meters are a guide. I think in live it is the measurement of the most taxed CPU core. Have you tried DIVA in multicore mode?

You could be right. But does that mean that I will get hang ups near 100% sooner? Why cant it spread the load properly?

Yes, Diva is always in Multicore mode. It behaves best in any DAW that way.
