On page 621 of the new Live Manual for Live 9.5, it says that if the follwing
In Session Mode, the 8x8 pad grid will now launch clips and the Scene/Grid Buttons will launch
scenes. Pressing a pad triggers the clip in the corresponding location in Live’s Session View. If
the track is selected, pressing the button records a new clip.
My push isn't doing this at all!

Arm it first. Record + the track you want to arm

Can I arm an audio track from Push 2?

Nevermind. I got it.

May I ask a follow-up-question:

In Push 1 it was possible to arm a track by doublepressing the track-button.
In Push 2 I have to arm via the record AND the track-button.
For this you now need TWO hands which isn´t very handy if you want to record for example a second guitartrack.
Does anybody know a workaround?
Thank you very much.

Not with Push2. Hold Record and the track button. I got used to the APC40 mk1. That has dedicated buttons for all of that.

...?...when you select a track with push 2 and then hit "record" (not a clip) live begins the recording of a clip...i don't have my push 2 in front of me at the moment but i'm sure it works like that...

He's talking about arming the track, not just recording. Currently the only method is holding REC and pressing the Track button.

I'm not talking about more than one track at a time. I'm talking about an audio track, or a midi track for Maschine. It's a two handed operation as stated before.

Is there any chance to get back the one handed operation again?
I have difficulties to record guitar parts, because I have to use two hands for activating a track for recording on push 2. No big thing, but it was better before.

Hi, I have the same problem, and I confirm that with Push 2, a midi track arm just when you select it, BUT an audio track require :
1. Hold REC button + track select. So the track is armed, and you can ear your instrument.
2. Select again the Track. So you can record using either : (a.Rec Button) (b.pedal plugged in input 2) (c.tap the red pad of desired clip from the Push2 // require to set pads in 'Session Mode' from Push2).

Anyway, I also consider that 2 manipulations are too much, and one of them require 2 hands, which is so unconvenient.
Please developers, only you can do something about it.

YHOUUUUUUUUHHOUHHHHHH just found the solution man !!!
you just have to hold the button corresponding to the audio track you want, and here is what happens:
- the audio track become selected
- the audio track is armed (on push display, the circle icon appear near the name)
- with pads in "session mode", all pads of that audio track become red.
so you are ready to record.
More precisely, here I have to hold the track button about 300ms only, which is pretty fast.

I would never have found if you didnt ask. So. thanks ;-)
