jBridge - Windows 10 Upgrade, 32-Bit GUI missing :(

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, got all my licence re-issues sorted out, etc.

My jBridge 32-bit still functions, but now the GUI interface on all 32x to 64x plug-ins jBridged have a missing GUI, but the 32 bit plug ins still work, just cant edit anything

I installed the lastest jBridge and still no GUI.

Anyone have a solution to this?

I have rebridged them. Uninstalled. Reinstalled. Rebridged. No go.

I found the answer from the programmer! I had to run Ableton as Administrator. Cleared it right up.

Hello guys, I'm thinking of upgrading to the newer 64 bit version of Live because my VSTs often overload the processing power available to Live. But almost all of my plugins are VST instead of Live plugins, and are nearly all 32-bit - many of which don't even have 64 bit versions. I've known about the solution using jBridge to allow these 32 bit plugins to work on it's 64 bit architecture, but from past experience using jBridge on other systems, it has always been extremely unstable and wonky.

Would you recommend that jBridge would be able to function as a permanent stable solution - or is it very buggy and prone to crashing when used in Live? I generally use at least 25 VST plugins simultaneously. Thanks!

I have found it very stable, though I don't use it anymore, so many great 64 bit plugins. Its not recommended but you could install ableton 64 bit also and try it out. And if it doesn't work well for you just revert back, but you have to be a great micro manager to keep all your files straight.

Excellent, thanks for your reply on this. You said it's stable, but then why don't you recommend it? Just because it's a bit of a makeshift unofficial workaround? And I've read that it seems I can install the 64-bit version at the same time as 32-bit version of Live (different directories), to make it easier in case I want to use the former version instead.

You're right that would be hella challenging to upgrade all those plugins

Sorry if I wasnt clear-

i was referring to the installation of both 64 and 32 bit on one computer as not being recommended, but only because it is difficult to keep all the files straight, for some its easy, but thats your call. As far as I know there is no harm in having both versions of Live on one computer.

I highly recommend Jbridge, hence I think you should try the 64 bit version of live. But because you have so many plugins (if you can keep things straight), I wouldn't uninstall the working 32bit version until you have tried all your bridged vsts in Ableton 64bit first just to be sure the important ones work.

If I remember correctly every plugin I ever bridged worked fine.

whats nice is you can bridge your entire vst folder at once, so honestly you should know pretty quickly whether the work around will work with your vst's or not:)
