FCB1010 Doesn't Appear In MIDI Sync Drop Menu

So I put the midi script folder for the FCB1010 into the midi script folder for ableton and it won't appear when I go into the midi sync drop down menu for control surfaces. It's driving me crazy because it was working fine for months and now it is not. I don't know what happened but it fails to recognize now.

I've reinstalled Ableton, moved the folders in and out of the MIDI script folder, tried a new download of the scripts and NOTHING is working - FCB1010 does not appear as a control surface despite the fact it is in the Resources/MIDI Remote Script folder.

Any help would be great. I am at an absolute loss.

Is this the Hans Petrov FCB script? I,think,its the same one on that Blorg site?

I use that one, or a variation on it at least. As I recall there's a small edit needs to be made. For any version of Live post about 9.1

comment out line 103 in FCB1020.py:
# self._session.set_stop_track_clip_value(2)


You may need to restart Live, but usually you can update python edits by changing the script selection menu item in preferences. As I recall that will trigger a re-compile.

You should be OK with L9.5.1 versions also. There are some changes to the Live Python version in the betas and many 3rd party scripts felt ill, or died. My FCB script was one of the few which seems ok. But I've not tested it in the most recent beta (6)

NO luck nothing seems to be working. I don't understand I used this thing for almost a year and now it just stopped being recognized

9.5.1 use a new version of Python so it's unlikely to work...

Did you get any further? I'm able to use the bl0rg MIDI Remote Script for the FCB1010 but only pedals 6-10. Pedals 1-5 show up in MIDI Monitor but Ableton doesn't react to them. I'm running Ableton 9.6.1

I also tried the FCB1020 script but that doesn't work at all.

Let me know if you're still stuck with Manuel's FCB1010 script and I'll help as best I can.
