I just installed Live and I can't figure out how to make Live show ALL of my VST's. In the "Preferences" window it appears to only allow me to tell Live to look for and scan one folder and one path?
How do I instruct Live to scan and look for plugins at multiple paths and in different folders?
Plugins In Live? WTF?
Re: Plugins In Live? WTF?
you put all your vst's (.dll files) in one folder.
Re: Plugins In Live? WTF?
Better non-volatile solution:
In Windows I created a folder called VSTPaths. Inside I made shortcuts to all of my VST folders. Then I pointed Ableton Live to the VSTPaths folder. It found the shortcuts to all the folders and included all of my plugins.
(Also responded to you at KVR).

Same problem here!
Even if I move DLL into the VSTplugins folder they still do not show up. I'm pissed of because it has been more than a week and I cannot find the solution.

Re: Plugins In Live? WTF?
I've literally never had this issue with Live that wasn't a user error. I structure with a folder named "VST" right on C, which splits into 32 and 64 bit folders (mostly because some VSTs force the user to install both). The "VST" folder is the folder I tell ABE to scan.
May seem obvious, but make sure to install the correct bit version for your Live (32 or 64).
Also, I would personally never "move" DLLs and trust that. Probably best to re-install.
Hope you guys get this sorted.
