Working w/ a large # of stems: What if you want to chg tempo

Post by alexfsu » Wed Mar 09, 2016 2:00 am

I stemmed out a project from Reason and I have like 70 indiv stems I would like to work with, to tighten up each sound and cut reverb tails, etc. When I bring these stems in, auto warp sets them all out of sync from each other. So I have to turn auto warp off....but what if I want to try different tempos? Is this something I'm not able to do at this stage?

Since your stems are all different tempos, I think your only option is to warp. Looks like manual warping is your only option, mate.

Are your stems all cropped, mate? Different lengths can throw auto-warp too. I've spent plenty of time manually cropping and warping those bad boys!

In the clip's segment BPM just type in the correct number, if the originating Reason session was at 92BPM then type 92 in there for all your clips which didnt guess it correctly
