midi map transport controls possible?

Looking for fwd/bwd buttons or pref a scrubbing action with a knob/wheel- there a way to map it?
I have push 2, ni x1, launch control lx....

Umm, i might be missing something but there is no fwd or reverse in arrangement view? You've got the ability to move between locators....

My understanding of how live works is that it has 'scrubbing' action and you can use for example the mcu protocol with a compatible device and itll work out of the box (using a scroll wheel or fwd/bwd buttons). You can also modify the ableton script and assign scrubbing or fwd/bwd controls as i believe nativeKontrol did with one of their script (think it's the pdx) so im wondering how to go about doing it, assigning a controller for that purpose-
that make sense??

It's not exposed for MIDI mapping, so you'd have to write a custom script to achieve it, unless someone else chips in and can see something that's obvious...

Looking in the Live Object Model you can move by relative beats in the song but there's nothing about scrubbing to a definitive point...
