Hi,
I'm sure there's an easy answer to this, so here goes...
Lets say I have 3 short midi clips, 16th notes.
Clip 1 is 5 steps long
Clip 2 is 6 steps long
Clip 3 is 7 steps long
Clip 1 and 2 are just shortened versions of Clip 3.
What I want to do is switch between them seamlessly when triggered, rather than at the end of a full bar.
e.g. Clip 1 is playing and I launch Clip 2, I want it to start playing when Clip 1 reaches the end of it's loop (i.e. after 5 steps) and not according to the global quantisation settings. I checked the different trigger modes and quantisation settings for the clips and I can't see anything that would allow me to do this but maybe I'm missing something. Essentially I want the clips quantised to their lengths of 5, 6 and 7 steps - which there isn't an option for, or not that I can see.
Any help much appreciated!

Re: Looping polyrhythms seamlessly
Set the Global Quantize to 1/16 and just freestyle trigger the midi-mapped clips live?
Set them to Legato for more variety
If that's no good for you, you'll have to look at 3rd party stuff like M4L or Clyphx

Thanks for replying so quickly.garyboozy wrote:Set the Global Quantize to 1/16 and just freestyle trigger the midi-mapped clips live?

I tried 1/16 but my finger drumming isn't accurate enough to launch them accurately as I want the transitions to be almost invisible to the listener
Cheers.

The "set to Legato" is the important part of garzyboozy's reply.

Re: Looping polyrhythms seamlessly
here's another way to do it using an arpeggiator and a scale device...
