Another total beginner here, first post, help appreciated.

Okay, here goes. I recently set up a home studio because I want to act on something I've always wanted to do. The production of Electronic music is something I really want to learn, and now I'm in a position to bite the bullet and dive in. Here's the equipment in my setup. I have Ableton Live 9, Max for live, and Push 2. I'm running through a dedicated i7 laptop, Presonus interface, Presonus E8 monitors with T8 sub-woofer, and I have a set of audio-technica ATH-M50x headphones. What I could use help with is finding the training on how to use the live software and Push. I've seen many avenues for training, some sanctioned by Ableton and some not. Can anyone make suggestions as to where I can find good training geared toward a total beginner such as myself? Where I live, I'm at least an 8 hr drive from any of the personalized trainers listed on Ableton's website. Therefore, I have to use online options and wonder if anyone has recommendations.

Hi and welcome

Well, the built in tutorials in Live are a great start, and the manual is really nice.
If you instead prefer to check out videos I would recommend sadowick productions.
He has some videos where he makes a track from start to finish.
The most important thing however, is to make tracks.
I would however instead do this:
Import a track you like into Ableton.
Make a track with the same arrangement, but use a different beat, a different chord progression and melody.
Don't worry too much about which samples or synths you use.
Do you have Ableton Suite? If so, you don't need anything else.

Check out warpacademy.com, it's a site run by Live certified trainers with all levels of lessons available. One of only many options, I'm sure other people can chime in with some other suggestions.

Thanks very much for the replies, I was thinking it would be days before I got one. I'll check out Warp today, thanks for the suggestion. Also, I do have suite, and can't wait until I have a better understanding of how this all works. How do you get to the built in tutorials in Live?
