Hey guys, basic synth question. There's a really common synth sound I keep hearing lately that I haven't quite been able to recreate myself.

The sound starts at around 2:18.
Like I said, I've just never been able to get this sound, and I really like it, o I'd love some pointers.
Thanks.

How Can I Acheive This Synth Sound?
Re: How Can I Acheive This Synth Sound?
I think it is the Korg M1 'organ 2' sound.
You could maybe look up samples of it.
On my iPad iM1 organ 2 preset, there is a tiny bit of filter modulation via key (filter opens up at higher notes), and the filter is set to 70 (out of 100 I think).
Best bet would be to find samples of it, then look at it in 'Spectrum' or in the EQ, and see what overtones it is generating, etc, and emulate it in Operator. Or use Simpler or Sampler since they are probably like, twice as powerful as the M1.
Edit: found this also http://www.adsrsounds.com/serum-tutoria ... love-bass/

Re: How Can I Acheive This Synth Sound?
The easiest way to achieve the Korg M1 sounds is to go here http://www.korg.com/us/products/softwar ... page_4.php
The M1 plugin on its own is $50

It is also often bundled as an LE version with a number of Korg products. Then you get your sound, additional sounds, and a new controller

Re: How Can I Acheive This Synth Sound?
Sounds similar to hammond organ.
Organ sound with fast cutoff envelope.
4 sine wave, fast decay. Oscillators frequent ratios are arranged like 0.5, 1, 1.5, 3 (You can do whatever variation and shift them a tiny bit to get natural sound)

You could do it with decaying operators to frequency-modulate sine waves to mimic hard attack sound.
