Looks as though this might be windows only? I downloaded on my Mac and it obviously won't unzip (says it needs to be run under win32). Could I unzip on PC then load in on Live on Mac (sorry to be so thick!)?bupper wrote:If you go to option/prferences/File Folder then plug-in sources you will see if it proposes a vst folder to you (i.e. program files/Steinberg/Vstplugins). If you don't have that then you have to create a VST folder somewhere on your hard drive & paste the vstnotes.dll in it then go into ableton - option/prferences/File Folder then plug-in sources & direct it to your vst folder & it will show up in abletonCan you help me here - I downloaded it and get a vstnotes.dll file - what do I do with it? (I've never knowingly used a VST plugin before (apart from what comes with Logic or Live)

you could always try
Re: Karaoke/Lyric display support
Believe it or not, I like to sing regular Karaoke.
It's actually a great way to practice singing, or try different styles.
I also would sometimes like assistance remembering the lyrics
to my original electronica songs!
(Write them, nice and complex. If you can remember them all,
they might be too simple
Text support could also be used by people to performance notes to themselves / bandmates,
documentation or tutorials for others.
So really, WHY NOT?
The (semi) competitor Virtual DJ has full Karaoke support.
But hey, if I could do Karaoke inside Ableton instead,
all the better!
You could sort of do it with the movie track feature as it exists.
This would expand the product to an entirely new set of people.

Cool jimp - gonna try this out. Seem to be a lot of egos on this thread, but as someone who earns a living providing various forms of entertainment I appreciate that you've taken the time to offer a potential solution.
