Customising APC40 Mk 2

Post by scottymac » Fri Jun 03, 2016 11:10 am

Hey Guys

I want to use the APC40 volume sliders to be able to rapidly do break ins with drum parts, which means I will be bashing the fader to the top and bottom quite quickly. However the APC40 volume sliders is assigned to the mixer volume sliders. As you can imagine I want to completely leave my mixer sliders where they are as it will alter my mix balance if I try to do breaks with them . I have tried mapping a utility gain and using ratio settings but the utility gain is only letting me use a min value of -35db which still plays the sound. Any offers on advice would be greatly appreciated.

So I've managed to find this out from another site.

Drag an empty audio effects rack onto each channel and right click to add a chain to it. This will give you a full range volume fader to automate with your APC and will leave the track faders free for mix down.
