Help with Sting! from skinner box

Post by Buddah509 » Tue Jun 14, 2016 10:54 pm

Hey guys, I need a little help with this plug in,

when i arm a midi clip for record , using sting! , reverb, glue compressor and fabfilter twin2 , i can make some great acid patterns, however the patterns wont record on the clip in session view, when i arm and record everything it plays at the length i want it plated at, but nothing is actually pasting itself tot he clip (no notes just blank), it will record for any length of time, but when i drag it to arangment view its blank , and sting! just plays and plays , even in arrangement view , is there a setting i need to change to get sting! to send the notes its generating to the clip? i am really bummed it puts out great patterns i just cant record them, please help

You need to make a second midi track, set that to record from the track with sting on it, then drag those clips back to your original track and disable sting so that the midi from the clip plays through the instrument.

Create a new midi channel

Then, fiddle with the 'input' options for in/out of that new midi channel.
