EDM against Racism?
Just wondering if there would ever be such a thing, it's always seems to have been rock musicians that have stood up for 'causes'.
Does anyone in the electronic music community care enough to be political - or is it just not cool?
Maybe it happens and I haven't heard about it?
Or maybe its because there are no lyrics?
Interested to hear views...

Re: EDM against Racism?
'the forums are provided for music related discussions'
'The Lounge
Discussion of anything not related to audio or music production'
There would appear to be a contradiction...
Banning political discussion? Isn't this a rather totalitarian measure?
So, the banning of political discussion is a trait not only endemic to the musicians, but also those that produce the means to make the music?
If so, why?
I am assuming we are allowed to talk about that?

Re: EDM against Racism?
Too many legitimate threads were getting sidetracked into political discussions, and it was generally bringing out bad behavior in people on the forums. This isn't something open for debate or that will change in the future, so we ask you respect the guidelines if you want to use the Ableton forums.

But I'm not espousing a political view.
I really am interested as to why there are never any EDM events in support of anything.

Re: EDM against Racism?
this is not any of the music thread sections, it's the lounge the place for off topic threads that must be legitimate. It doesn't have to make sense to you, you just have to follow the rule and stay on topic, but not off topic topics, only on topic offtopics are allowed.
