Clips still sound different in Live 5.02b5

I have a clip set to "beats" and "1/4" looping a very small portion (smaller than 1/4) of a clip and it sounds very different from Live 4.

please save it with live 4 and try to make it as small as possible.

check if your clips contain some "sample offset" modulation.
i've noticed that this sometimes changed the sound of the clip (esp. when there is only a part of the clip looping).

Would a file saved in Live 5 coupled with an audio sample of how it used to sound do? The thing is I don't own Live 4, but was using it at my school.
