Creative use of effects

Hello guys

Please could someone recommend me some in depth tutorials on the creative use and application of effects. It's all well and good just experimenting but this is very hit and miss and I'd really like some tutorials to follow so I can get to understand some solid fundamentals. That way I'll learn from the ground up and I'll have the knowledge to exploit the techniques I've learned and then experiment much more effectively. Books, sites, anything at all please. Or if your in the London area and would like to mentor me I will pay good money for sessions. Thanks guys.

Sound On Sound magazine has an Ableton Live masterclass each month, often covering different uses for the effects. After 6 months back issues are free on the website, so it might be worth going through some of those.
